My family stayed in a Fisher House when I was injured in the Marine Corps, but this was different. No longer in uniform and now living back home in Michigan, I wasn't sure if there was something like a Fisher House available without major active duty bases here. I knew I needed to find out my life and the tiny life growing inside me depended on it.
