Guests at the Fisher House sometimes head to the hospital with just car keys and a phone. Whether they planned to stay at the Fisher House or it was a last-minute accommodation, Fisher House Michigan makes sure they have everything they need during their stay.
You can help provide items such as wellness bags, items for cold weather, or special blankets, by making and donating the finished goods to Fisher House Michigan!
The Fisher House hosts a diverse range of guests of all ages and eras of service, however most of the guests are adults.
Sewing Projects
Wellness Bag Kits
A simple pouch with essentials for caregivers staying in a Fisher House. These wellness kits contain items such as chapstick, tissues, soap, washcloths, and more.

Quilts
Any patterns are acceptable, but please ensure the quilt is suitable for machine wash and dry.
Recommended size can range from Lap size (50”x50”) to Throw size (75”x75”). Themes and colors are your choice. The Fisher House hosts guests of all ages, however the majority of our guests are adults.
Knitting & Crochet Projects
Lap Blankets or Prayer Shawls
Superwash merino or other washable fabrics are preferred. Any patterns/sizes are acceptable.
Spa Cloths
100% cotton or bamboo is appreciated. Sample patterns are below for 7” wash cloths.
